I hear it all the time – Pinterest is too hard! Or I don’t have time for Pinterest. And of course, where do I even start when it comes to Pinterest. I’m here to tell you that marketing your business on Pinterest doesn’t have to be hard! And honestly, as with anything, most people are overthinking it. Which is exactly why I wanted to share the one thing you can do to make Pinterest EASY.

Question for you. What is your NUMBER ONE hang up when it comes to Pinterest
I’ll wait….
Did it have anything to do with just not having enough time?
I thought you might say that.
Which is why I wanted to share the one thing, a very simple concept to help you make Pinterest easy. What is it?
A plan.
Pinterest Marketing Plan
Yep, that’s it. It’s not rocket science.
You. Must. Plan. Plan your content, your images, your keywords and more. Because when you have a plan, and do a little bit of pre-work, it makes staying consistent so much easier.
How to Create a Pinterest Marketing Plan
Now you might be saying, well that’s great Erica, but WHAT do I include in my plan?? And I’m glad you asked.
Your overall plan should include:
- Regular keyword research for your content or products
- Writing pin titles and pin descriptions for your content or products
- Designing new pins monthly
- Scheduling your new pins monthly
I go over all of these things in detail in the post, My Pinterest Time Hack Method and I also go through, step-by-step, exactly how to do all of this in order to save loads of time each month. Hence, the name, Pinterest Time Hack Method:)
Implement a Pinterest Marketing Plan
Now that you know what your plan should include each month, the final piece to the puzzle is the most important.
You have to SCHEDULE these actions into a calendar or project management tool to ensure that they’re happening.
Personally, I love using Asana. If you’re not familiar with Asana, it’s an online project management tool that allows you to create projects and tasks that need to happen within those projects. This is how I track what needs to happen each week and each month for every single client inside my Pinterest marketing agency.
If you want a live look inside my Pinterest Management project inside Asana, check out the video above!
The best part about Asana is that it’s free to use. There are paid plans but even with my clients and the projects I have for my business, the free plan gives me everything I need to stay on track and on time with my projects.
How to Get Started with a Pinterest Marketing Plan
For exactly how to get started with your Pinterest plan, I’m including this link over here to my Pinterest Time Hack Method where I breakdown all the steps for you PLUS how to put it into a plan that works for you.
I’ll see you next time. Happy pinning!
